Description
Feathers are symbolic of freedom, connections to the spiritual realm, and gifts from the sky. Or maybe just plain perfectly engineered nature. I drew and then carved this feather plate from lino and then hand printed them onto the reverse side of handmade lokta paper. Lokta paper is made in Nepal by its people from the sustainable lokta bush. The paper is dried in the sun. It is beautifully textured and strong. One feather is printed in black linseed oil based ink and the other in copper/gold ink and make a beautiful flowing pair of gifts from the sky birds.
Each print measures 7 x 8 inches approximately and these come as a pair.
