Description
On the Isle of Eigg I heard a really strange bird sound I had never heard before. After further investigation I discovered these were Eider Ducks. Eider ducks have almost prehistoric looking beaks and are beautiful tones of black and white. The place I saw them on the Isle of Eigg had the most glorious patch of Yellow Flag Irises along the rocks.
This linoprint has hand painted yellow irises using Sennelier watercolours. It is printed in blue black traditional relief ink on Fabriano Unica printmaking paper.
