Description
An Sgùrr on the Isle of Eigg is one of the most unusual features on the island. When I first saw it I imagined the hand of a giant had lifted and placed it right in the middle of the island. The day I visited was drizzly and very atmospheric. Some low cloud lingered over the peak and many birds surrounded me. I heard a strange bird call I had never heard before and it turned out to be an Arctic Skua. This lino print represents that eventful visit during which i even witnessed a White Tailed Eagle over the Sgùrr.
This lino print is based on one of my sketches from my solo retreat and is printed in a blue black traditional ink on Fabriano Unica printmaking paper.
It measures A4 on 50 x 35cm paper
