‘Cormorants at Salen Bay old pier, Isle of Mull’. A few years ago I headed off on my first solo camping trip to the Isle of Mull. I camped at the beautiful campsite right next to the old pier in Salen. On my first morning I took my wee camping stove and porridge down to the shore and had my breakfast there. While watching the calm water I noticed the cormorants had each claimed a post. They stood preening and stretching their wings in their bat like fashion. This cormorant bird lino print captures my impression of that moment. It is a small limited edition print of 4. It is printed in Caligo black ink on Japanese Okawara Select printmaking paper which is light yet incredibly strong. The print measures A3 in size.
